Project Metallurgical Technician

Lihir, New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea

Summary

Conduct field sampling on autoclave #3 discharge. Carrying out laboratory test on autoclave discharge sample. Utilising 3 test per sample, test #1 focused on the ORP change in autoclave discharge slurry as the temperature was increased, test #2 was to see the change in ORP value as temperature was increased in the filtrate of the autoclavedischarge and test #3 was conducted to observe any changes in ORP values in autoclave discharge filtrate with out heat over time. Focusing on the change of Oxidation Reduction Potential output as a result of temperature change. Objective is to verify the accuracy of the online ORP instrument installation at the Autoclave 3 in Lihir Process Plant.
